Born and raised in New York City Caroline began her yoga practice in 1997 as a form of relaxation to balance the rigorous demands of graduate school and working full time. Immediately she felt a connection on a physical and spiritual level. However, as time passed, she allowed the demands of daily life take precedence and lost her connection with yoga. Having felt for some time that there was a missing piece in her life, Caroline began exploring different spiritual paths, seeking something she could not name. Unfortunately, all of these paths left her feeling boxed-in and labeled. In 2004, Caroline reconnected with her asana practice but continued looking elsewhere to fill the spiritual void. In 2008, when Caroline met Amy Pearce-Hayden at TheYogaScape and heard Amy’s dharma talk she felt this could be the path to fill her spiritual needs. Through Amy’s guidance, Caroline found that yoga simultaneously satisfied and challenged her on a physical and mental level. This desire to both deepen her knowledge of yoga philosophy as well as her physical practice led her to complete her 200-hour Teacher Training with Amy Pearce-Hayden at TheYogaScape in Carmel, NY, and she become a certified RajaHatha Yoga Teacher. Recently, Caroline completed her 500-hour Yoga Teacher Training with her teacher Amy Pearce-Hayden at TheYogaScape. Caroline is Senior Faculty at TheYogaScape.
